The following are guidelines for the turn in of NJROTC uniforms upon
disenrollment from NJROTC:
1. Upon disenrollment from the program, all uniform items (to include
garrison caps and service cap covers) will be professionally dry cleaned
prior to turn in.
2. All items must be turned in at the same time in order to facilitate
complete and accurate accountability.
3. Items must be turned in still in the dry cleaners plastic bag
containing the dry cleaners original ticket/receipt. If you
want the cleaners receipt, we will make a copy for you.
4. The following items need not be returned:
a. shoes (oxfords and pumps)
b. ribbons
c. rank insignia
d. name tag
e. belts
f. belt buckles
g. tie bar
h. tie
i. neck tab
j. J bar
5. Upon turning in uniforms, your cadet will be issued a “Custody Card
Receipt” indicating a cleared NJROTC account. (The total appearing at the
bottom of the items list should be $.00 in order for an account to be
cleared).
6. It is important that you turn in your uniforms directly to the Naval
Science Instructors or the Supply Officer in order for you to receive your
Custody Card Receipt which will be you proof of a cleared NJROTC account.
Turning in your uniforms in to the school office will not guarantee that
your account will be properly cleared and the school office has been told
NOT to accept uniforms.
7. If your cadet’s uniforms have not been turned in, or the account is not
properly cleared, his/her name will appear on the school’s fines list the
day after disenrollment.
8. Any cadet whose name appears on the fines list will not be issued a
report card for the current term, and in the case of seniors, will not
receive their commencement/graduation diploma.
9. It is suggested that all cadets, but particularly Seniors, have
most of their uniforms dry cleaned and ready to go with all except the
Awards night and Duck parade uniforms. Those uniforms will be dry cleaned
and turned in following the Duck Parade. Royal Dry Cleaner will
give a 30% discount for cleaning.
